The Perfect Grand Cayman Family Boat Itinerary (4 & 6-Hour Options)

Family smiling together during a private boat excursion in Grand Cayman

People ask all the time what a charter with us actually looks like and how long they should book for. The answer is different for every group. Every charter is private, the whole boat is yours, and the day is built around what your family wants to do.

All of our trips run in the North Sound, which is where everything is. You can visit Stingray City, Starfish Point, and the mangroves. We also offer snorkeling, Rum Point, and Kaibo. Our team works directly with you to choose the perfect stops and pace.

The 4-hour and 6-hour trips are the options we run most often. Here is a sense of what each Grand Cayman charter option gives your family.

The 4-Hour Charter Option

Four hours is a great half-day on the water. There’s time for 3 stops — Stingray City, Starfish Point, snorkeling in the North Sound, the mangroves, whatever your group wants to prioritize. If you want to work in a quick lunch at Kaibo or Rum Point, that fits too. It’s a solid amount of time without taking up your whole day.

The 6-Hour Grand Cayman Charter

Six hours gives the day more room to breathe. You have more time at each stop, more flexibility to linger somewhere if the group is loving it, and a lunch break built in without feeling rushed.

If you want to add the bioluminescent bay to a daytime trip, a 6-hour afternoon Grand Cayman charter is the way to do it. The timing works out perfectly. You will catch the bio bay just as it gets dark. We also offer bio bay as its own separate experience if you’d rather keep the two trips distinct.

We depart from the dock at Camana Bay, right in front of Agua Restaurant. We run charters from 2 hours up to 8 hours. Reach out if you want to talk through what makes sense for your group.
